VITRICCHESS
Ceramic chess piece, close-up

Limited collections of playable ceramic sculptures.

First Editions in production · 2026

Cast in series.
Every glaze unique.

Each collection is a complete chess set of 32 ceramic pieces — designed as sculpture, built for play. The form is slip-cast and identical across the edition. The glaze is born in the kiln and never repeats. No set is like another.

The form comes from the cast. The surface from the kiln. Everything in between from the hand: fettling, cleaning, glazing — each piece on its own.

Sculpture that plays

Every piece passes the test at the board.

Base, weight, grip and legibility from the player's view are part of the design — not its compromise. We don't sell a board with it: the architecture of the field is yours to choose.

Every piece is designed as a closed, demoldable body. We compute the plaster mold's split with our own software — undercut analysis, radial cuts, registration. Precision here is not a marketing word but a tool path.
